Working principle:
The elevator is powered by a direct current (DC) motor, which raises or lowers the elevator cabin through a pulley and rope system. The battery holder has an integrated control panel with buttons used to control the direction of movement.

Changing current direction: by using the control panel, children learn that reversing the electrical polarity causes the motor to rotate in the opposite direction (so the elevator rises or descends).
