Green onions may look delicate, but they’re a powerhouse in the kitchen. They’re quick to grow, and with their mild onion flavor they don’t overwhelm your dish like store-bought varieties do. They just brighten it up with their signature zing. For maximum flavor and color, remember to add them right at the end of cooking or sprinkle them on raw for that perfect finishing touch.
Plant care

            Plant care
- Edible plant
 - Sprouts in: 7-14 days
 - Harvest in: 5-12 weeks
 - Grows best at: 18–26°C
 - There is no limit to the number of green onion seedlings per pod. Just let them all thrive!
 - You will see tiny seedlings emerging in a week or two. It may have black seed casings on top; no need to remove them by hand, as plants will outgrow them as they mature.
 - Just be sure not to block their light—green onions are little sun-chasers who love to bask in the glow.
 - You can start harvesting single leaves gradually about 1 month after planting. Do so by cutting off the whole leaf at full length.
 - If you harvest it all in one go by making the cut just above the soil level. Leave the pod to regrow and harvest the 2nd growth in a couple of weeks.
 - If your green onion leaves are looking droopy or thin, cut them back. This gives them the boost they need to grow back stronger and fresher.
 - Suitable for transplanting outdoors, and will come back every spring, even in hardy climates.
