Things you should know
- These are ideal for anyone who has allergies but loves flowers
- It’s low effort, big reward. Just be sure there is only one plant growing per pod
- It can be transplanted outdoors during the summer months
- They are not edible
Plant care
- Sprouts in: 7-14 days
- Lasts up to: 12 weeks
- Grows best at: 18–30°C
- If any seeds are loose, please push them gently back into the little hole in the middle of the pod.
- Mini sunflower benefits from using our Pro Plant Cups. They help keep its roots healthy and the plant looking good for longer.
- Leave just one seedling to grow per pod to ensure enough space and nutrients for the plant to thrive. To thin, gently pull out or cut excess seedlings above the soil level.
- It usually takes around 60 days for the flower to fully bloom. However, the flower bud becomes visible much earlier, allowing you to follow the whole process of growing this incredible flower.
- You can trim some lower leaves if they show signs of degradation. Losing some leaves will not affect flowering, and trimming browning leaves will make the plant more aesthetically pleasing.
- In favorable conditions, you may see a second bud growing from the main stem. To encourage growth of the second flower, remove the main flower after it loses its yellow petals.
