The D-Fruit DF172 is a smart card reader featuring USB-A interface, designed for using ID cards, bank cards, and other ISO 7816-compliant smart cards with a computer. In addition, the device supports SIM cards and is suitable for electronic authentication, digital certification, banking services, and other smart card-based services.
The device connects to a computer via a USB-A interface and utilizes the USB 2.0 CCID1 standard, ensuring reliable data exchange. The DF172 supports 5 V, 3 V, and 1.8 V smart cards, as well as ISO 7816 Class A, AB, and C standards. The smart card interface offers a data transfer rate of up to 420 Kbps. An integrated LED indicator provides a clear status overview: a red light indicates power, while a green light indicates card reading. The device is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
