The product consists of 2 parts, a male 3.5mm TRS to lightning adapter cable and a lavalier mic with 3.5mm female connector.
 
The detachable design here allows you also to connect other audio devices with 3.5mm TRS output to your iOS devices, such as: RX8 Pro, BY-MM1 etc.
