The Newell C4 Supra is a universal charger, compatible with most cylindrical batteries commercially available. The LCD display shows voltage, amperage, charging time, internal resistance and percentage of charge of the cell - all allowing you to easily determine the parameters and status of the process. The specially designed housing allows for simultaneous charging of even the largest batteries (type C or 22650) in all four channels simultaneously. Automatic or manual selection of optimal current By default, the charger automatically sets the charging current based on the characteristics of the battery. It is also possible to manually set the amperage. Battery type selection The Newell Smart C4 automatically recognizes the battery type of Li-ion 4.2V and NiMH/NiCd 1.48V batteries. LiFEP04 and Li-ion 4.35 V batteries are not automatically detected. To charge these batteries, their type must be entered manually. Measurement of internal resistance and cell capacity Before starting charging, the device measures the internal resistance and estimates the capacity of the cell. Both values are shown on the LCD display. Professional capacity calculation Once charging is complete, we can read the estimated capacity of the battery on the display. The charger also allows a more precise capacity calculation through the charging and discharging process (function available only on channel 4). Multiple protections Protections against improper battery insertion and short-circuiting, as well as automatic stopping of charging when the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging, make the process safe and energy-efficient. Repairing over-discharged lithium-ion batteries Most chargers are unable to charge over-discharged or 0V cells. The Newell Smart C4, upon detecting such a cell, will attempt to reactivate and repair the lithium-ion battery. Unfortunately, cells discharged below a certain level are destroyed and reactivation may not be possible.
