The Denver WCS-5023 is a compact and easy-to-use trail camera suitable for wildlife observation and surveillance use. It allows you to capture sharp photos and videos even in challenging outdoor conditions, where you want to monitor animal movements or automatically supervise a target. The camera is designed to withstand weather changes and operate for a long time without maintenance, making it a reliable companion for extended monitoring periods.
Image Quality and Recording
The camera uses an 8-megapixel CMOS sensor, enabling sharp and detailed images. Additionally, it supports interpolated photo capture up to 50 megapixels and 4K resolution video, enhancing the clarity and quality of recordings. During the day, images are recorded in color, and at night in black and white, ensuring details are visible even in low light. Video recording duration can be adjusted from 5 seconds to 10 minutes.
Motion Detection and Night Vision
The camera features three motion sensors based on passive infrared technology. They detect movement up to 20 meters away, and the camera's viewing angle is a wide 120 degrees, providing excellent coverage of the monitored area. PIR sensitivity can be adjusted in three levels (high, medium, low) as needed. Night vision is enabled by two invisible 940 nm infrared LEDs, allowing clear and unobtrusive night recording.
Durability and Operation
The Denver WCS-5023 is built to withstand varying weather conditions with an IP66 rating, making it splash-proof and waterproof. The operating temperature range is wide, from -30 °C to 70 °C, making the camera suitable for year-round outdoor use. It operates on four AA alkaline batteries (not included), with a standby time of up to six months, making it well-suited for long-term use without frequent battery changes.
User Interface and Settings
The camera has a 2.0-inch LCD screen for convenient on-site previewing of photos and videos. The settings are versatile and easily adjustable through the camera's menu. You can select photo and video resolution, shooting mode (photo, video, or both), PIR sensitivity, photo and video length, and many other settings. It uses a microSD card for memory, supporting cards up to 256 GB in size (card not included)
